KLA SPRING CLEAN-UP

KOONTZ LAKE ASSOCIATION
Clean-Up Campaign will take place

8 AM to Noon (central time)

Date: TBA 2012

We will be picking up litter from the roadways around Koontz Lake and assisting residents of the community dispose of unwanted junk.

We will have dumpsters at the Koontz Lake Clubhouse on Cherokee Road for disposal of large items that can not be put out with the normal trash. Please, do not bring stuff that can be put out with your normal trash. 

Collection at the Clubhouse will be for 4 hours only, Saturday morning.

If you are unable to bring your stuff to the Clubhouse and would like help,
call Ken Monahan (586-9632) or Dan Pisarek (586-2408) before April 17th.
We will try to provide pick-ups on a limited basis depending upon how many volunteers come out.

 NO YARD WASTE OR CONSTUCTION WASTE !
We will dispose of anything you have except these prohibited items:
• No roofing or construction rubble
• No gas, oil or engines containing these
• No paint, chemicals or solvents
• No computer monitors
• No hazardous or liquid waste
• Call the St. Joe County Waste Management District at 574 235-9971 for information on disposal of any of the above.

Latex paint - add Kitty Litter to the can and allow to dry then discard in normal trash.

Tires – $1 each to cover the disposal fee would be appreciated.
Refrigerators and freezers - will be accepted this year.

Remember:
Goodwill Industries maintains a drop box at
Dollar General in Walkerton for collection of reusable items.

We will be done by noon and lunch will be provided.
