Membership & Services

Are you asking, Why become a member of the Koontz Lake Association?  Well here's why, the association does many things for the people of Koontz Lake.  We sponsor Neighborhood Watch,Cub Scouts, 4-H club, and Al-anon.  The bulk of the associations revenue  comes from bingo and along with your yearly dues of $20, it goes out to help other organizations such as Phoenix House; Hospice in both Starke and Marshall counties; Santa's workshop; Scholarships for both O.D. and John Glenn High Schools; Starke County Council on Aging and the Koontz Lake Fire Department.  It also helps to pay for the maintenance on the clubhouse, lake testing and mosquito spraying.  All of our workers are volunteers and have been for many years.  We are always welcoming new people to help us continue to make Koontz Lake the GREAT community it is.

One of the great benefits of becoming a member of the association, is that you may also get garbage pick-up for an annual fee of $105. The service, at this rate, is available only for current members of the Koontz Lake Association.  It is valid from the 1st Monday in July to the 30th of June.  You must be a member of the Koontz Lake Association to receive this great discounted rate.  Stickers are provided to all members that receive garbage that live with in the boundries of Koontz Lake.  You may sign up at the annual meeting on the third Saturday in June or any time after.
