Neighborhood Watch

Over 11 years ago the Koontz Lake Association sponsered a committee to form a Neighborhood Watch Program.  The first meeting was held on October 14, 1999, headed by Judy Specht, Cindy McKenna and Mary Ann Vische.  As of June 2011, the Neighbor Watch Committee is headed by Mary Ann Vische and assisted by Rose Simpson.

Neighborhood Watch works in conjuction with the Sheriff's Department of Starke, Marshall, and St. Joe Counties, in addition to Crimes Stoppers and the area Fire Department.

Very important to the success of this program,  has been the the volunteer Block Captains.  They are the connection to the community.  A chain of information can be passed on to alert neighbors of any emergency.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month in April, May, August, October and December at 7P.M. at the KLA Hall 10870 E. Cherokee.

We look forward to seeing you.
